We recently ran into an acquaintance in Las Vegas who graciously invited us to tour their stunning (and practically perfect, mind you) contemporary home in The Ridges, which they just completed building. As we meandered through each room, it became apparent that our friends—modern design aficionados and avid art collectors—had considered every corner of their dream home with ingenious functionality and effortless luxury. Think a designated puppy room complete with dog shower and their own mini washer/dryer; a stand-alone and very well-planned home office, featuring a full-bar, outdoor sitting area, and gym; laundry room strategically located next to the master suite; guest rooms are featured on a completely separate level with their own entrances, allowing visitors the luxury of feeling unimposing on their hosts, who have the freedom to move around their personal space for everyday work/life duties. The DesignLush-designed home can be viewed here, third featured project down, titled: “Tresarca.”

While touring the impressive desert home, we learned that our friends are looking for a Laguna Beach vacation home designed by the city’s iconic contemporary architect, Mark Singer. It just so happens that we’re personal friends of the Singer family and we quickly learned of 990 Oceanfront. The 96-point LEED Platinum-certified modern masterpiece sits in the heart of Laguna Beach with private gated access to the sand with an uncanny resemblance to our friend’s art and design aesthetic. Featuring 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the residence has a signature modern indoor-outdoor open plan, expanding across 3,601 square-feet with more than 2,200 square-feet of outdoor entertaining areas. 990 Oceanfront was completed in 2010 and we learned that it’s practically new: the out-of-state seller has spent a total of five-nights in the home! Prime for investment, neighboring homes include a Mark Singer on one side and a Horst Architects on the other, both valued above $13-mil., setting a lofty comp standard. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we won’t spare anymore.

List price: $12,750,000.
