The house of Vuitton has done it again…Lady Holiday recently attended the Louis Vuitton Prefall 2013 Trunk Show. The French fashion house’s women’s director, Julie de Libran, credits The Bride Wore Black as inspiration for the decidedly darker collection of lush velvet, striped, lace and bow adorned structured pieces. Most notable was the lace debossing—using the leather goods monogram embossing technique to create a highly textural lace pattern on a silk twill jacket and leather skirt. I couldn’t resist, I had to get the skirt! And while I was at it, I ordered the Ruby Slipper-esque shoes—rouge velvet slipper heels encrusted with Swarovski crystals made exclusively for LV and topped with mink poufs. While Libran called on a noir bride as creative inspiration, we couldn’t help but see a Wicked Witch Of Oz’s storyline in the Olgivy-produced catalogue, photographed by Koto Bolofo. Even our fave bag from the collection had two-faces! See if you can spot the similarities of the good witch vs. the wicked in the below sneak peek preview of Louis Vuitton Prefall 2013. Enjoy!

Love,

LH
